Commentary today on City v Liverpool:

“A high quality game between two top sides”

No. They were. Only one is now. They were desperate to big it up as the renewal of the league’s big rivalry Of the last few years. There was just no acknowledgment that Liverpool are currently just a bit shit.

Liverpool know it. Klopp was saying they’ve spent the international break sorting transfer plans and are prepared to go big in the summer, apparently.

That game against us at Anfield was the last hurrah imo, an utter freak 20 minutes and then United having their last ‘go to pieces’ moment..

It felt like a strange one and the fact it’s been normal service since would point to that.

Liverpool still have moments in them and games where they reach a level similar to what they’re used to, but it’s fleeting and that defence has gone to shit.

They need a big summer.

Unrea, the difference in reporting and nauseating as it is, probably a good thing. Idiots will, think they are doing ok. No pressure.

Still boils my piss Souness after that game, sitting in the studio like the cat that got the cream. Neville trying to explain why 7-0 was a freak result and he wasn’t having any of it the #@&%!.

Said we’d been found out, or words to that effect.

No, Graeme. It was a freak. The absolute £#%&!ing cheek of a team sat in 8th suggesting someone has been found out.

They thought they were back. That’s why they were so smug.

Liverpool fans definitely don’t think they’re doing okay. I’ve never seen a fanbase turn as quickly as that lot. VVD was the best defender the premier league has ever seen until recently, they all want him sold now.
