Questionable whether he is a professional footballer at this point.

He should try gloves.

Impossible to get rid of. And we all fall for it, he will come back mid-October, score a goal and we shall all think..maybe ETH has sorted him out. Sulk. Strop. Injury lay off. Repeat.

From a recent presser:

Quote:
With Anthony, we didn’t want to rush him back, it’s important his injury is managed properly, so when he returns he is able to maintain his fitness.
He has received some criticism in the press and from fans - what is never written about is his desire to come back. He is working tirelessly.
He sticks to the schedule we’ve worked on for him, never falters and has even brought some of his own ideas to the table. He called me one evening recently to tell me he’d only drunk water with his meal - he was so used to drinking fizzy drinks that he’d struggled with dropping them from his diet altogether. He did have one the following evening but it shows progress - he wouldn’t have been able to do this several months ago.
We’ve also started to work around things he finds hard, rather than just trying to erase certain behaviours altogether. For example, he often doesn’t hear alarms in the morning - to mitigate this, his mother now wakes him instead with his breakfast. He has been happier this way, and his recovery is progressing quicker than we anticipated.
His mother calls regularly to give updates and she seems so proud of him. We all are. When he first picked this injury up she said she could hear him crying in his bedroom those first few days. But he has never given up. He will be an important player for us next season. We have no doubt of this.
Seems to be showing a bit of grit which is good to see.

Means nothing when you're never available and when you are, only giving 50%

Which game was it when we went 2 down and straight away Martial started signaling that he had to come off injured? He doesn't even give 50%. Such a fraud.

he's been injured. you'd rather have an unfit player on the pitch causing more damage to his body? kudos to him for even giving it a go when not feeling well.
