crazy to think that even though the aguero goal was still the worst moment for a lot of united fans, none of us predicted just how bad things would get in the following years (2012/13 and the cup wins aside)

it hurt because we pushed city to the very end, finished the season level on points with them, and it came down to goal difference. paradoxically, we were good enough to get ourselves into a position where they could do that to us. now, never mind being light years behind them, we have the likes of west ham chasing us as we battle it out for 6th or 7th.

also the fact that they're holding an event to commemorate it, repeating martin tyler's commentary like fans at a gig singing along to it, and celebrating the goal ten years later is

Let them have it. Their club has been turned into a sportswashing plaything for Abu Dhabi. I couldn’t give a shit about City. Nobody thinks anything when they win. It’s just a shrug and move on.

And nothing they’ve done since has ever reached that high for them because it was getting one over on United, which is all they care about.

City are like a branch of McDonald’s. A franchise. There’s a City in Australia, New York, South America.. they’re not unique. They’re the English branch of a global sport washing enterprise.

And like I've said before it was only because QPR stopped playing and were strolling about the place inviting them to shoot.

Is the statue their loophole for his “I’m staying until we win the Champions League” promise?

After all this time I still haven’t seen ‘that’ goal properly.

They don’t mention how their title defence went the season after do they?

They went from strength to strength and we’ve gone to absolute shit.

After Dzeko equalised, QPR just Kicked the ball back to city from kick off.
Was absolutely not what they’d have done had they needed a result.

It’s taken 10 years for that thought to occur for Rooney. By his standards that’s pretty impressive.

Completely understand, mate. Remember QPR reaction when the news broke through, but just never watched the rest of it myself.

It hurt because we dropped so, so many opportunities that year. It was our own fault.

While we have absolutely no say in our enemies cleaning up all over the shop now, the general state of the club is such a disgrace that it seems more important getting our own house in order than quibbling about them @#%&!s or the other @#%&!s.

but on the flip side, if we won it that year, fergie would have retired that summer, and we wouldn't have had the brilliant season that we did the following year. i proper loved getting revenge on city with rvp banging them in non stop.

Of course it was our own £#%&!ing fault. We can point the finger at QPR all we like but we lost the title on £#%&!ing goal difference after letting City run 7 goals in against us over two games. They won the title by +8 goals.

We completely £#%&!ed up a 2 goal lead at home to Everton twice. And then in the game which was effectively the title decider (City away) we turned up and played like abject cowards for a draw and ended up getting beat.

QPR and City didn't win that league for them - we £#%&!ing threw it away

We were 8 clear with 5 to play.. It’s the most we’ve blown the league imo. I know Arsenal came from further back, but that close from the end. Two losses and a draw. Stupid loss at Wigan and unforgivable throwaway against Everton. It never should have got to the ‘iconic’ moment.
