Garnacho the impact sub.

Hard to see anything other than this, with the limited options available through injury and general shiteness of a lot of the squad

Tbh with you I suspect that, Pellistri would be United's best option down that right wing & then, Bruno could play in his correct position, just behind, Rashford, it it appears that ETH has been given no choice but to rule-out any possiblity of, Martial being involved whatsoever.

Given the injury updates it has to be this now:

De Gea

Dalot Varane Shaw Malacia

Eriksen Casemiro Fred
Bruno

Sancho.........Rashford

You know who I wish we still had?

Fellaini

Would love to see him smash the City midfield then get those elbows in the chops of the City defence as he scores a header

I miss the daft ‘apeth

Anyway, swap AWB for Dalot and Shaw to LB and bring in Linda and Grinchers is spot on.

His attacking ability is on par with AWB . Absolute myth that he is a decent attacking RB.

Honestly if I had to choose which one to keep as cover I’d pick AWB , bin dalot and sign a proper RB

it's all about opinions.

my opinion is that anyone who would pick malacia and put shaw at cb, rather than pick linde and put shaw at lb, should not he allowed out of the facility unsupervised.

Do you remember what happened when Shaw played left back at Anfield?

Shaws best position is left back. You have to play your best players in their positions. The whole team played shit at anfield. Varane and Martinez also played . Casemiro also played, do we stop playing them in their positions because of that game?

Considering how weak the right back tends to be from an attacking perspective having shaw at LB gives us an extra attacking outlet. This shouldn’t even be up for debate . Even more so when lindelof has actually been playing well at CB.

The same thing that happened to Martinez, Rashford, Casemiro and Bruno in their best positions too.

Did they all get rinsed about 15 times in 45 minutes?

Any of you think dealing with pressure games is Shaw's strong suit? Think he's less likley to be caught miles out of position at left back or centre back?

Playing Shaw at left back in this game is begging for another rinsing.

So your solution is to move him closer to haaland?

Instead of Lindelof? Yes.

You know Malacia played left back against City at OT this season right? And Shaw was left centre back?

So you'd prefer Lindelof - who's done really well this season - but he's still Lindelof, up against Haaland?

Instead of Shaw, who for all his faults is pretty fast and a proper beefcake.

You'd prefer to trust Shaw to get speedily back from attacks all game and get speedily out to his attacker's wing all game, and let Lindelof deal with the freak?

Seems like a recipie for disaster.

I can see where you’re coming from with Haaland, and if that was City’s only real threat I’d be agreeing.

Fact is they’ve got so much attacking threat that trying to mark out one player isn’t going to work I don’t think.

If we concede the first it’s game over imo, which leaves us game spoiling for as long as possible and hoping for a smash and grab.
