Wouldn't buy that for a second. As if SAF was consulting statistics versus a what he saw on the park, which, if Stam was making more interceptions that made tackling redundant would have pointed to him playing just as well.
He went because of his book, which showed him up to be a potential whistle blower type. If you read it yourself you'd go off him too. A United player openly saying he didn't like training is somewhat off putting.
