I'm not even that angry anymore, more sad. He can't be enjoying things right now however much he is being paid.

Embarrassing yourself is still embarrassing yourself.

Assuming he still has a degree of professionalism then it must be tough for someone who has had such high standards to be publicly making a tit out of themself every week.

A lot of previous superstars can’t or won’t see it though. Look at Rooney, couple of long punt passes in America gets some attention and he’s doing interviews about how he’s still good enough for the Premier league. He was bombed out of Everton ffs.

Sanchez reminds me of Rooney:

Lot of miles on the clock at 30. Legs gone. Still capable of moments of class, that mask how the overall game has abandoned him.

And he doesn't know it.

A 22 year mind trying things his 29 Year old body won't let him do.

It’s worse than Rooney
Rooney as you said could still come up with big moments like that late equalizer at Stoke for his record

Sanchez doesn’t come up with anything
Does anyone really believe he’s going to do anything special when he gets the ball

Misfit in a United shirt.
It’s what happens when you offer a shitload more money to a player compared to the competition. Di Maria is another example. Preferred to go to PSG but we made such a stupid offer he couldn’t refuse and came for the money. Which must be what happened with Sanchez. If he’d preferred us over city there’d have been no need to offer the player so much more than city offered.

Should be a strategy going forward that united only match the competition’s offer. Then if the player chooses united it isn’t purely because of money. And if they decide to go elsewhere it’s a lucky escape for us, as Sanchez and Di Maria would have been had we only matched the city and PSG offers and the players subsequently chose them over us.

He wanted to leave arsenal for a huge pay increase in the latter years of his career. Achieved his goal. Hunger satisfied. He’s happy as £#%&!. It’s like Giggs playing brilliantly when playing for a new contract then slipping back into his comfort zone once he had it. It’s not a conscious thing.

Think it's two years, I'm clinging to the fact* that his ridiculous wages are heavily weighted to appearances and goals scored
