I'll give him five as it's my birthday today.

The only people who care about birthdays are kids and secretaries.

Happy Birthday anyway..

The enforcer.
Pogba was probably thinking about his new line of bling the whole time.

What new ideas does he have to have, it’s still a game of football iirc. The reason we’ve shit in the main this year is purely down to the basics and I’m pretty sure he’s well versed in that.

Correct.

He'll know more about Klopp's pressing %@#$&!s and Pep's PEDs than anyone on here. He's a fully qualified coach ffs.

This is about deciding on a strategy and sticking with it. If he's on the same page as Ole, which you'd have to imagine he is, then we'll be fine. Or not fine.

Yep.

No problem with shorts as assistant tbh.

Carrick and Mackena will learn a lot off him.

Phelan was assistant when we started declining under Fergie in the value era and we have really seen no evidence of any tactical nous to arrest our recent decline.

Unlikely to take us forward and we're already very far behind

Exactly. With the Quieroz Fergie combination we became the best team in the world and signed exciting talents.

With Phelan Fergie combination we still won a few titles but declined hugely and the exciting players we were signing were Chris Smalling and Ashley Young.

Ole is inexperienced at this level, he needs someone who can help with the strategy to get us back on top.

So long as they’ve accurately identified the issues behind the form, have the capability and are given the authority to put it right by those above them, there’s no problem.
