Why would you do that? Why would you choose a manager who has only ever managed one club that was doing well and made them do slightly better over a man who won the champs league on a shoe string budget and until last week had an unbeated home record of 9 YEARS?

The missus would certainly be more interested.

Well if Mourinho stories are to be believed he is the next best thing.

More likely to be here to see Ciddy tbh, Fergie won't be going anywhere for a good 5 years yet.

I'd go for a man whose native language is Portuguese, yet is also fluent in English. And French. And Spanish. And Italian. He knows a bit of Catalan to boot. But Portuguese is key considering the amount of young Brazilians we have playing for us, and coming over. If we don't get Jose in as Fergies heir, then no skin off my nose, but he really is the best of the rest, with a proven track record, and by jove I'd like him to be our next boss.

I like that nice jersey he always wears, but Mourinho has a smashing head of hair.

Don't see the relevance.

I don't care what anyone says, Mourinho would be £#%&!ing ace ...

Fergie wants Mourinho to take over when he packs in, I'm certain of that.

Whilst I like him, Mourinho has the "rent a manager" feel about him. Need a trophy? Give him a call. Would like to see him be at a club for more than a few seasons.

I agree, but when Fergie goes there are no 'perfect' replacements lined up.
Fergie's one of a kind in terms of loyalty to one Club.

There's nobody currently managing in England that I'd want taking over from Fergie.

Mourinho's the only man for the Job imo...although Guardiola would be a good second choice.

We are unique among the great clubs of European football in having had the same manager for over two decades. Whoever takes over will only be here for four or five years, before being replaced by someone else.

Love Pep btw. Great player, quality coach. Never really considered it before, but it would be an interesting choice. Mourinho is obviously the outstanding candidate should the vacancy come up this summer. Hopefully not
