Unfortunately, we do that and they say, ‘nah, you’re alright’ and go elsewhere. Not sure why this phenomenon only effects us.

Same when buying players; we offer £20m, selling club says £100m, we try to negotiate and they say ‘nah, you’re alright’ and they sell them elsewhere for £25m.

I can only assume everyone at United is an utter c***.

I can envisage more of the same this summer as every club we approach to buy a player knows we’re absolutely f***ing desperate, and every player knows they can quadruple their wage demands
