Big Cass is important and so is Eriksen and Rashers, but this guys just makes us tick.

Love him because he’s ours, would hate him if he was on the other side. If he took 10% more care of the ball he’d be unreal, even simple 10-15 yard passes in midfield aren’t guaranteed & that’s not acceptable. He’s a machine but he should care more about the Ten Hag philosophy of caring for the details as well as the big moments. I hold him to a higher standard because he’s so, so good. You can’t be as lax in possession as he is when it matters, almost all goals come from giving the ball away & he does it just too much when it’s well within his abilities to make the pass. Also needs to shut up a lot of the time.

Yep, tonight showed how important he is to us. Period.

His best performance last night. We looked utterly lost without him. I think I said in one match day we’d win £#%&! all of note with him as captain probably the worst thing I’ve ever said on here and there’s been a few shockers I’ll never slag him off again.

Him and Eriksen are the only players who regularly create chances. And Eriksen's lack of defensive ability and physicality mean its often a risk playing him away against decent opposition.

He quite clearly isn't up to playing 90 mins in the premier league at the moment. He really struggled to cover the distance at wembley yesterday. But our options are so poor in that area we can't ease him back in.
