We have the highest revenue of any club in the entire world. The idea we can’t afford to set up a women’s football team is patently ludicrous. A drain on the resources required to improve the first team ffs |

If it brings £#%&! all in how come city have an average attendance of just under 3k? Nobody is saying it’s a money making venture. But the idea that it would cost so much as to hinder the first team ffs Utter nonsense. The salaries in women’s football actually can’t exceed 40% of their turnover. It might well run at a small loss, certainly to start with, but that would more than be outweighed by the social benefits imo. |

Remember watching a United Review VHS back in the day where they showed the women's football team at The Cliff. None of the team were lookers, majority of them looked like overweight men to be perfectly honest, unlike today where there are a lot of them which are delightful. Maybe that was why they binned the team off.
Makes you think. |

They could use Carrington for training but Old Trafford for matches could cause fixture clashes plus the extra wear and tear of the pitch during the season Quote:

The women’s team that was canned was costing £60k a year to run ffs. Now I don’t doubt costs have gone up, but so has interest. |
