With all 3 shirts set to change next season, I would imagine there will be a shake-up of the whole squad numbers. Especially if anyone such as Neville, Giggs or Scholes retires, with Foster getting the number 1 shirt.

'have all worn 7' is hardly the same though is it. I'd be surprised if some of those players wore it more than once.

Blackmore for example wore every single outfield number from 2-11, the only Utd player to do so I believe.

I agree it's marketing %@#$&!s, but it's still a bit galling to imagine a scouse has-been in it.
