Southampton are in a wretched form. We should have no excuses... but then again we didn’t against Arsenal or Sheff United either.

It’s an absolute must win. A big feature of what we’ve done well recently has been consistency. Lose or draw this and it’s 1 win in 5 and we’ll be sliding down that table in no time.

That team selection specifically the midfield really worries me

Southampton’s press is really good and none of those players in midfield and good passers of the ball or good under pressure

But let’s see, who knows they could pull out a performance

That does tend to be the case, yes.

Genuinely in two minds about this one - could be another flop, or we just might get a decent home win for a change.

Are people really getting a bit damp at the thought of playing Southampton? We are second in the league, a very good team and after eventually dropping some points as we did recently we will tuck Saints in no danger. 3-1 reds.
