The Tiny Desk thread
If you're unfamiliar - NPR (National Public Radio) in the US hosts a Tiny Desk concert at the desk of the presenter of one of their other shows All Songs Considered (it's really good, would recommend).
Anyway - there is a whole raft of excellent little 20min gigs & they also did some at home during lockdown - including this one from Hamilton Leithauser with his family which I am completely smitten with - it's ridiculously wholesome: At the other end of the musical spectrum is this phenomenal effort from Erykah Badu

Absolutely love tiny desk. Regular Saturday morning watch while feeding the little one. Some classics already mentioned....obviously Mac Miller, Tyler, Khungrabin. Some other faves here:

I've had Tiny Desk on my favourites for years and visit a few times.
It's amazing. What's got me more than all the up and coming trends is how good some of the Pop people have been such as Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, Harry Styles. As said Sting and Shaggy.  Special shout out to the Sesame Street Gang. Big Bird in the house. |
