"Today it was all about the first goal and we got that first goal and it freed us up "

But then Norwich got the second goal so it wasn't all about the first goal was it.

I thought exactly the same thing when I heard it. This is the problem with bullshit artists, the longer they speak the more they back themselves into a corner. I think they were only a couple of percentage points shy of 'death by football' possession too. Shame. Should have taken it into the corner for a bit.

5 wins in his last 18 games, against Stoke, Bournemouth, QPR, Blackburn and Newcastle.

Dead man walking.

Miss him when he's gone.

On the plus side he'll be nailed on for a punditry job.

such a fine line between them losing every match they play and sacking the #@&%!

the danger being, eventually, they might stumble upon a decent manager

takes the shine off them being shite ......

im on the verge of wanting them to win a couple of games to steady the ship and i dont like it

This and this. We're a bit short of ex-dippers on telly

I wouldn't worry about them getting someone decent - they all lose their marbles after being there a while. They've had one or two decent ones in the past and all end up insane. Remember Houllier's. Google-eyed after match interview? Classic. Expectations are mental.

Two of the teams who came up from The Championship are currently above Brendan in the PL. The other club promoted? Just a point behind the Scoucers.

I remember when Houllier joined them and he was 'joint-manager' with Roy Evans.

The soft @#%&!s were too soft to sack Evans and it was exactly that mental softness that has held them back for years.

Houllier was probably the best manager they've had since Paisley and the weight of expectation gave the poor bloke a heart attack.

Didn't they end up hating him having found out he was one of Fergie's mates?

Probably. They hated Hodgson for that too.

SAF was supposed to have asked Houllier if Cantona was worth buying, to which Houllier told him emphatically, yes.

I can see the vermin being just a tad upset at that.
