Cruyff didn't quite reach the heights as manager that he did as a player, tbh.

Double European Cup winning midfielder with Milan, for whom he made over 350 appearances. Played for Italy at the World Cup.

Then went on to do alright as a manager.

Stick to the politics, pal.

Cruyff was and remains the absolute %@#$&!s. The best player in the best club side the world's ever seen, then popped over to Barcelona and won them their first title in 18 years, smashing Real Madrid 0-5 in the process.

Became manager of Ajax in '85 and completely revamped the youth set-up and their playing style. This produced the side that briefly dominated European club football in the mid 90's before being decimated by the Bosman ruling. Then he went to Barcelona and did the same thing, while winning their first European Cup and four successive League titles.

Would've managed the Dutch national side at the 1990 World Cup too, if wasn't for the £#%&!wits running the KNVB.

Der Kaiser is up there, nqat.

He's acknowledged in Barcelona as being almost entirely responsible for the team they have now, owing to the youth system and playing philosophy he set up whilst in charge there.
