This. If he wants out we need to be firm on how much we want for him. I do not want Bale anywhere near our team and I hope to Christ Woody doesn't still want him, as we could get fleeced here.

The only issue being: trying to hold onto your star player when the big boys are after him looks rather small time.

Remember Liverpool and Coutinho?

He'll go for good money, let's not drag it out.

BTW this is very likely down to his agent trying to squeeze out every last drop of revenue from his client. Helping to ruin the end of our season.

He'll accept a bumper pay rise from us before going there.... twici.

Yep. Hold the @#%&!s to ransom. Although I'd take Varane and Kroos in a heartbeat.

No Bale, please for the love of all that is holy no Bale.

Yes, they flogged him for a record fee and are better without him.

Will that happen with us? Will it £#%&!.

As mentioned, I can't see anything but a new contract and one off payment to fatboy on the horizon. But these two would be v v niiiiice.

No chance Varane is leaving though.

Patently, but you're missing my point.

No I'm not. I don't fear us looking small time, I fear us being it.

All our other transfer dealings are atrocious and this @#%&!'s entire existence has been nothing but an embarrassment to us, from letting him go to bringing him back to the constant angst of trying to get the best out of him on anything like a regular basis. The manner of his inevitable leaving will of course just be yet another kick in the balls. Why break the habit of a lifetime?

Genuinely couldn't give a £#%&! if he never played for united again.

However it would be nice just for once to grow a backbone and tell these @#%&!s to £#%&! off.

Was ok tonight

But with The Scottish Player and Fred putting in fantastic performances I would like to see more from him, especially considering the excuse when he plays poorly is the players around him not being good enough etc...
