I probably agree with this, the latter could be more what they actually need right now.

He will be all smiles if he gets the job, then when his yank bosses tell him they are selling Couthino to Barca, his grin will immediately turn into the Rodgers grimace, realising they are a feeder club for the top teams.

For ffs sake.

Still, the all-engrossing atmosphere of mawkish sentimentality and bizarre obsession with death that chokes the life out of that place and anyone who walks through the doors might make it tough for him.

Am I missing something here?

didn't he nearly take Dortmund down before he left?

The consecutive league titles and FA cups, in a league dominated by another team?

think he'd lost interest by then, plus bayern had pilfered most of their better players.

two bundesliga titles on the spin and a run to a european cup final is more worrying. the scousers are sure to get a bounce off him.

Would be churlish to deny that it's potentially an exciting appointment for them.

But he's unproven outside a specific environment, and he's quite one-dimensional in his football. Hopefully he's a £#%&!ing disaster

correct.

there were plenty on here suggesting he take over from fergie.

it would be a very good appointment for them and he's a great character so it will be hard to hate him.

Pretty sure I'll manage gins. Weirdly, I already do.

This time next year there could be klopp, lvg and pep all within 30 miles of each other.
