Was his best game for us. Eased alot of pressure on the back four with his control of the 6 yard box.

His actual shot stopping at his very best is still so far below average.

He's been pretty good since he returned from AFCON imo. Should've saved their second, but he made some important saves in the first half, and like you said he dominated his area well throughout.

Was certainly an improvement in general terms, 1st half especially, because his speed of decision & accuracy of pass made a noticeable difference to the way we released pressure (& scored).

He's been so £#%&!ing slow & inaccurate when it matters in the majority of his other games for us, coupled with horrific simple errors that you would have been nuts to ignore.

Would be great if he can play to that level week in, week out now. Having to think about binning him for 1/3rd of his fee & paying up his wages after a year was depressing. Not as depressing as watching him let another through his arms or getting lobbed from 3 yards but still.

Keep it up big man. Cut out the shit-housing though, just be good at your job.

He wasn't perfect yesterday but it was good to see him dealing positively with crosses into the box and also not having your heart in your mouth when the ball was at his feet and City players converging on him

Had a good first half for sure. But good as in he did the basics you would expect from a 45 million goal keeper.

He's a good keeper...

Had a very shaky start to his time here....

Always believed in him...

He's got a lot better imo. Maybe just struggled adapting? Hope that's the case anyway.

Got to admit, I’ve doubted him but I do like him. Hope this is the start of something better

Best game he’s played so far but he still conceded three and apart from shot stopping he continually looks a liability.

Yeah one of his better games, just wish we had seen this version in Champions League, instead his calamitous errors cost us qualification.

It’s definitely an improvement on that period when he was just continuously throwing the ball into his own net, but I just don’t think he’s very good tbh.

His current improvement is a much needed bright spot, credit where it is due.

He’s not as bad as people are making out. Look at his stats, he’s one of the best performing keepers in the league. All these modern keepers have a mistake in them, when Alison or Ederson make one they normally get away with it because it’s usually a consolation goal for the opposition, when Onana does we’re not as good and normally lose or draw the game. We concede a ridiculous amount of shots on our goal too compared to other teams, he’s constantly under pressure or having to pull off saves where as Ederson, Raya etc are far more protected.

Would have been harder not to improve. At least he looks like playing in his actual position now.
