Who plays alongside Carrick in these games is the biggest selection question for me. Giggs has been superb recently, surprisingly effective defensively to add to the thrust he gives in attack, but I do not think that Fergie will start him in Milan. Scholes is more likely to play, his passing ability gives allows constant control of the game. Fletcher would probably be favourite with Park and Ronaldo wide.

Right back is the next issue, Neville has performed well recently, but he is still a potential weak link, Rafael would be a risk in that type of game, especially with how he goes into tackles, could be a red waiting to happen. Brown needs games but is probably the best option if all are fit.
