Oh, and my own first was Paddy Crerand. Met loads since and been on the piss with plenty. Denis Irwin an absolute gent and would hardly let you get the round in. Insisted paying for it all himself out of his fee. Had a very messy night with David May once too. I retired to bed around 6am whilst he carried on in the hotel bar with my mate and his missus. He missed his flight later that day too.

Sir Samuel of McIlroy

Wouldnt say he was going through the motions but he asked me if I "wanted that signing?" .....When I wasn't holding £#%&! all.

First one for a chat was Norbert when I was on a top table

Nice chap.

Ah, I was close. There was lots of beer involved at the night-time do.

I also got to thank Michael Thomas for "that" goal.

Met Whiteside and Stapleton when I was about 6. Still got the photo!

Met Brucie in a MacDonalds a few years later with the football team I was in. Was current utd captain and happily signed everything.

Used to see Ince out when on my paper round too.

My sister once scored 18 penalties out of 20 past ex-Stoke City goalkeeper Peter Fox.

I was a kid, and was with my old fella at an Amateur Boxing night at Abbey Hey Working Mens Club around 1982 ish.

He was giving out the trophys, the £#%&!er nearly dropped one of them.

A likely tale - too young to remember but you were in an over 18's establishment.

Russel Beardsmore.

My old man taught him to drive and he came round to my house with some money. At least that's what my old man told me, he could've been his pimp for all I know. I didn't know him from Adam in fairness. Same thing happend with Daniel Nardiello years later too.

I once met Cantona in Mama Mia in Boothstown when he first moved to the area and nearly pissed myself with excitment, before my mum calmed me down and gave me the bill to get his autograph.

I let Ole out at a roundabout at the Carrington turn off of the M60 the other month. I had a similar reaction to the one with Cantona in Mama Mia, but my mum wasn't there to calm me down. He did the thanking wave, which was nice.
