Objectively, it’s not really taking long. We’re just privy to every update and non-update.

If we can get it done in the next few days, that’s two £50m signings done and on the plane for the US. That’s decent going by our standards.

Last year, we were only just signing Christian Eriksen on a free despite
Our only competition being Brentford.

We know there’s a budget, we know a lot will depend on sales. We seem to be getting the deals done that we can now. They’re players that want to come and clubs that are willing sellers.

It’s a far cry from going after players we know we can’t get and letting it drag on all summer.

If we can get this done in the next week and maybe get the likes of Elanga, Fred and Henderson gone in the next 2-3 weeks, then that gives us another month to nail down a striker or two and maybe another midfielder.

We’re doing ok IMO.

I wouldn't get rid of Fred, unless we got a premium price for him. He is a useful squad player

We won’t keep both Fred and The Scottish Player and it seems Fred is the more expendable of the two, according to reports.

And we won’t get anyone else in in the midfield if we don’t. £20m for Fred means we can go for Amrabat.

Time to cash in on Fred whether he a good squad option or not imo

Last chance to get a decent fee for the lad and we need to stop holding onto players longer than we should and having to let them go on a free or for peanuts.

This was supposed to be wrapped up on wed/thurs.

Something has changed.

Fabrizio doesn’t seem to think so.

2 down
3 more needed

Still think we need 2 centre forwards and another midfielder that can work with Casemiro when needed.

Agree on the centre forwards. For the mids, I would keep Mainoo and Hannibal around the place and bring another more defensive minded player in only if Fred and The Scottish Player get sold.

oh we absolutely need to sell even just so we can progress properly again in the next summer window.

Fred or McT can stay as the last resort but we can’t keep both.
Beek has to go for his own good.

Mainoo should certainly be in the squad but we do need someone of Amrabats experience/age profile or equivalent.

I am looking forward to this signing because a) we need a keeper, and b) he seems bonkers.
