5 matches.

for just saying the truth. If the FA don't want managers saying how they feel, don't put a £#%&!ing mic in front of them minutes after a match.

£#%&!ing crazy

If they say what they feel they get a ban (unless your Blackpool etc).

If you dont do them you get a fine and potential ban.

The systems a £#%&!ing shambles, from top to bottom.

Should be a complete media blackout till the end of the season imo. Either you’re allowed to say what you think, or you’re not in which case press conferences and post match interviews are useless.

I agree, can see other managers following aswell.

Anybody remember what sort of ban Fabregas got for accusing the referee/linesman being rigged (against Everton at home?)

From when does a ban start ?

From the kick off or before ?

Is he allowed in the dressing room at half time ? ... I guess not.

Wire him up to Phelan like Mourinho did with wasisface

Agreed. Would love it if the LMA announced that no manager in the PL would do any interviews from now on. To think, ESPN are pushing for the right to enter changing rooms after the game and interview players, just like in the States

Don’t think the touchline ban itself makes much difference, but it’s the principle of it that pisses me off.

Probably the same as Avram Grant when he claimed it must be in referees' contracts to give United penalties.

Not a rumour

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been fined #30,000 and given a five-match touchline ban for comments made about referee Martin Atkinson, the Football Association announced.
Three guess on which game is the final one of that ban.

From twitter

SAF: "Want a fair ref, a strong ref anyway, we didn't get that. When I saw who was reffing it I feared the worst" 5 match ban, £30k fine.

Roberto Mancini: "It's normal - the big club usually has different treatment." No punishment

Tony Pulis: "Surprised to see [Dean] back on one of our games with his record against Stoke." No punishment.

Dave Whelan: "If it was any other club or player, you can bet your life he would have been sent off." No punishment.

Martinez: "I felt if my player had done that, he'd have been very lucky to stay on the pitch" No punishment.

Pulis: "If that was my player at OT & he committed two fouls like that, what do you think would have happened?" No punishment.
