Desperately need the upgrades in the middle of the park & right back on priority. Eriksen & De Jong would be a revolution in ball retention & progressive passing through the pressing. McFred is just so ordinary.

Dalot is a decent back-up option, but not showing signs of really kicking on. AWB still utter, utter shite & needs firing into the sun asap.

Good to see a side that looked cohesive enough & playing the right formation with the big man dishing it out from the sidelines.

Most defenders look decent then have moments of uncertainty and make the odd mistake. Bailly looks uncertain, makes mistakes and has the odd moment where he looks useful. Utter shit.

I think it may have been Ferguson who said the best defenders are the ones who you think have a quiet game. They just are ice cold , no emotion and you don’t even notice their defending.

(I could be remembering this all wrong and it could be %@#$&!s)

It seems to me that their fitness has improved a lot. In particular, although it could have been the camera angle, Luke Shaw appears to have lost about 5kg of blubber.

a proper manager.

at times a certain someone would be proud the “boys” after an embarrassing defeat.
