I was confident of us doing Liverpool and Chelsea.

I'm back to being a doom merchant again.

If they played like they played yesterday, and United play anything like yesterday coupled with the fact that Carrick is out and SAF is back to his mental substitutions I expect a loss like 2 or 3-0.

tookt the words out of my mouth. Let's hail down a reality cab to real street shall we? They have looked very good so far this season, city were well up for that yesterday and chelsea pissed on them without much effort.

The way we are at the moment, with our players struggling for form and match sharpness, with the pain of moscow still fresh in their minds, i fully expect them to turn us over comprehensively.

I can't see us winning there...although they HAVE to lose a home game sooner or later (it's more likely that a Boro' or a Bolton will manage that though)

We haven't played well at all this season apart from Portsmouth away.
Our pre-season was disjointed & lacking in goals...& we've started the League in the same manner.

Chelsea are a very strong side...I'd probably take a point..but I don't wanna get too far behind Arsenal & the scouse @#%&!s to be honest.

I finally agree with you.

A two man midfield with him in it, away from home, is folly. I love that word folly.

Let's hope Anderson doesn't either.

not getting into a debate.

anderson superb vision and touch played a huge part in our goal.

anderson was played on the left wing yesterday to accomodate scholes who with carrick couldnt get hold of our midfield. anderson and rooney were on the wing meaning carrick and scholes was the midfield pairing and it didnt work at all...

nft.

Only said it to see if you'd bite

I'd pick Carrick and Anderson as the midfield 2 or next weekend in an ideal World, but without Carrick we will struggle, a lot.

We were fine until Carrick got that knock yesterday, after that we struggled. No energy no presence, throughout the team. Scholes was overran from that point on.

But, it is worth noting that Anderson was very poor, in both his touch and his passing, very poor. His position on the field should not affect that. He definitely needs games.
