Would be happy with him.

Still hope we get Longstaff/dybala too

Press and fans seem mystified by this, but I think its ideal.

Lukaku for all his flaws, scores goals is an out and out forward with a bit of presence.

Manduzukic would bring that. He had pedigree, he's cheap and it'll take the pressure of Rashford and Martial.

33 is nothing these days. Worth it for a year at that price.

A low-risk punt.

I wouldn’t have a problem with signing him on a one year deal with the option of a 2nd year but 3 year deal with be stupid

Would make sense to have a squad option of a forward who is good in the air as none of our forward look likely to score from crosses into the box

Just having someone who knows what positions to take up would create a real contrast to some of our current forwards. Footballing intellect is very underrated in today’s game.

Aye.

Could see him being another Zlatan for us.

I’m all for it tbh, but I’m not sure he’s actually got a good scoring record over the last few years and Doesn’t he mainly play as a right wing these days?

Would be nice to combine consistent quality play with a long term prospect at some point.

Confirmation Lukaku has gone. Ole going back to the days of 3/4 strikers but some who are content to play half the season or be more of a sub. Like him and Sherringham - that won’t happen with Martial Lukaku and Rashford as they all sulk when they are subbed or don’t play. Also brings what seems to be be a decent experienced winner into the dressing room.

He'd be a stop gap, but taking the pressure off the young lads will help them.

Unlike Zlatan, we wont have to play him every week.

He wouldn't need to be prolific. Just offer something different. A bit of experience and intelligence up there.

He's cheap too. It's a pretty low risk signing.

Oh yeah I agree completely, I’m all for the signing.

Need both Martial and Rashford to step up this season, no more excuses for either of them.

Thumbs up

Personally, I've never rated him. Average goalscorer, and one who I don't think will score more than Lukaku does.

However, Lukaku would want to play every week, so if this fella is coming in as a squad player whilst Rashford and Martial are first picks, and Greenwood develops, then it could be a smart signing. Thinking about it, Mandzukic, Rashford, Martial and Greenwood is a great mix of options. Fergie always said having four strikers is a key to success.

Definite plus that he's played at the top level, and is a proven winner that the youngsters can learn from. Love the fact he helped dump England out of the World Cup, too, so hopefully could be good for some ABU seethe.

Looks like he'll 'only' be on about £120k-per-week, too, so hopefully won't be too hard to shift if we need to move him on. Another good signing from Ole.

Who do you expect us to sign who is willing to play second fiddle to 'Rashy' ffs?

What would actually make you happy?

Nobody should be playing 2nd fiddle to him. He's not even a £#%&!ing striker ffs.

Greenwood has better instincts as a goalscorer than him.

Good player is big Mandeh.

Will be a great pro to have about and will be a useful back-up forward.

Like the characters Ole is signing.

brilliant, can't wait to watch him spend all his time outside the area @#%&!ting the ball straight at the keeper, you know like a proper striker.

And running the ball out of play because he refuses to pass it to a team mate.
