Default Manchester United set to smash through £200m spending barrier in January transfer window

Sounds like Ed is still talking...

having already invested £150.1m this summer, United will back Van Gaal if he tells them that the accelerated restructuring is still not completed.

What are these exotic players going to offer us that Cleverley and Young can't.

I'm all for progress but at what cost?

When a middle of the road footballer who gets by on the fact he's English can't make it into the first team ahead of a world class Argentine who's won the lot, there's something very, very wrong with the game.

Great an experienced centre-back and a box-to-box midfielder and we will have an excellent first eleven.

Love that apparent quote from LvG's speech at the Dutch awards on Monday.

"They keep spending money and buying me players!"

just hope we are in a position to challenge for the title in january or at least comfortable with top 4 challenge. then if we spend this sort of money, there will be mass suicides across merseyside and north london

Smash it for a bit with ready made Worldies, sort the academy and youth systems out then win everything with kids again.

"The view from within the club is that claims by outsiders, including former Sir Alex Ferguson’s lieutenant Mike Phelan, that United have abandoned a youth policy, are deeply misguided and fundamentally flawed. United feel that the promotion of 18-year-old striker James Wilson to the first-team squad, named on Tuesday, was overlooked amid the fanfare surrounding the purchase of Falcao. The feeling is that Phelan’s argument – that a thread has been “broken” and United’s identity lost – is blown away by the composition of the Premier League squad. In all, 21 out of 35 of its members are under 25 and 14 are English."

£#%&! off, shorts.

There are rumours about vG being a big fan of 'Le Pog', and we may get him in January.

All of Uniteds greatest victories have been playing in blue or 2 tone grey

It's the DNA of the club pal. A club that never sacked a manager. Doesn't buy foreigners. Gary Neville's red and white army
