Default Relegation

Was talking to a former fredster the other day and he said he would welcome relegation.

I dont want us to be that bad.

But......

I think I'd love it. United in the championship. Itd be the most watched league in the world. Super Sunday would never beat United in the ratings.

We'd win every week.

Away at Burton.

And it might get rid of the Glazers.

Early days, but, whisper it, I might start cheering for it in april.

Between praying for City to win every league match and wanting us to be relegated, some people need to accept they're not United fans anymore.

At least we won't have to watch our rivals on Chsmpions League nights. On the same nights while they're playing at the Camp Nou and Bernabeu we'd be away at Brentford.

So we become another Leeds? No thanks.

Relegation was Utd's nadir back in the mid'70s. Never again. I'd rather finish 7th for 5 consecutive seasons than get relegated.

Best worst tolerable scenario is that we become post-1990 Liverpool or post-2006 Arsenal.

So people who don’t go now would start to go because we were playing against poorer teams. Red army

Would welcome it if we got rid of the owners.

It would cleanse the club in some ways but there’s no guarantee that the next owners could take the club to where it should be.

i'm sure leeds fans thought the same when they went down, same with sunderland.

also took villa a few years to get back up.

won't happen anyway, we'll probably secure our inevitable mid table finish around february/march.
