Not surprised whatsoever.

Best away defensive record. 4 clean sheets away from home in past 5 (Newcastle was a single goal). None of this is random.

Have already been told this is a defensive team. It’s also why this side doesn’t score any goals; that’s fine today as details their title challenge ahead of Arsenal going there and any alternative way of playing would have seen decent defeat.

Issue is the system in other 37 games plus deterioration when first goal goes in.

Very good point today. Varane / Shaw quality. Evans v good.V questionable subs at 70 min but got away with it. See how it goes at WH next who will sit deep and use Kudus / Bowen on break like Bournemouth.

Blatant cheaty officiating too with the throw in award. It’s like they don’t get why that would incense a defender in that circumstance and of course, they’d have sent Alexander-Arnold off for the same.

We haven’t, from memory, had a decent performance against them there since Van Gaal managed us, and some absolutely terrible ones. That today was decent from what was a pretty makeshift midfield and defence. A desire to compete from all players, some playing their first game there. A big well done to the manager and all the players, because I don’t think there’s a single person on here who really thought we could get a point there today. We had 11 against 11 there today, up until the schoolboy referee did what he did, anyway. Needs arresting, that one. Totally bent.

That it’s hurting their players and their manager is behaving like a child, as usual in such circumstances, makes it even better.

Onwards and upwards.

Relieved, expected a total battering. Would have taken 2-0, so a bit giddy now.
Dalot red card, shameful refereeing.

I think if his namesake Charles had know about him, he may have found his evolutionary model more of a puzzle.

Great result, was brilliant to see us pull together and actually play as a team. Thought Varane was outstanding

Why is gorilla hands even giving his opinion? He’s supposed to be the presenter, not an analyst.

Difficult to get angry about Keys though. Genuinely one of the most pathetic humans on this earth.

So that's EXACTLY why we will do it

Love Keane

Love ETH tonight

Hate Keys. Weapons grade helmet.

I think we may have inadvertently found our feet like England in Italia 90 and Mark Wright as sweeper.

4-2-3-1 is the way ahead with these players. We aren't Brazil 1970 or 80's/90's AC Milan. We use what we have.

Genuinely feel positive, despite still needing to bin Onana, Dalot and The Scottish Player from that starting XI at least.
