The question wasn’t whether we were having a great summer. It was to name clubs who were having a better one. No club has managed to get rid of big name players they don’t want, and there’s plenty trying. Barely any club is managing to get big signings done. Having signed 2 players the manager wanted so far, whilst shifting a couple, puts us ahead of most. Clearly there’s a log jam due to financial expectations, which will change as the deadline gets closer. Although any such necessary changes won’t be in United’s favour, given the different deadlines. The dynamics are working against us, and Ed and the glazers don’t have the ability or the will to adapt to those dynamics and change them in our favour. Their focus is probably elsewhere. |
