More pain for Owen

MICHAEL OWEN is facing another spell on the sidelines after damaging his groin in training.

The Manchester United striker's injury curse struck again at the club's Carrington training base on Monday afternoon.

Owen was taking part in a shooting session when he pulled up and immediately walked off the pitch, telling coaching staff his "groin had gone."

He was sent for scans yesterday and United expect to discover today how long the 31-year-old will be out of action.

Owen has made only six league appearances this season, scoring one goal, but was on target last month in the 2-1 FA Cup victory at Southampton.

He was out for three months after a hamstring problem picked up in October, but was pencilled in to face Sun-sponsored non-leaguers Crawley Town at Old Trafford in Saturday's televised fifth-round tie.

Good, haven't got to put up with his shiteness on Saturday where if he scored he would have told us he still hopes to play for England in the future.

We could just kidnap him and force him to agree to a contract termination?

Good news anyway, it might just mean that Josh King will get a bit of time on the bench, at least.

Be interesting to see who he goes with in this game, would like him to £#%&! off shite like Gibbo and go with a mix of our better players and proper youth players. Get Pogba in midfield with Carrick, play and Giggs wide or sumat. Maybe King and Chico up front.

Ideally we'd see Pogba, Tunnicliffe, and King involved for certain on Saturday. More likely it will be (fitness allowing)

Lindegaard
Rafael
Fabio
Evans
Smalling
Obertan
Bebe
Carrick
Gibson
Berbatov
Hernandez

Which would make sense to an extent, I suppose, and should still win 4 or 5 nil.

Edit: Good call on the Rooney in France thing. I just hope the kids make the bench, and, tbf to Fergie, the 45 seconds he gave :ravver: in the Carling Cup and the 20 minutes he gave Josh King last season, imply he might just do that.

I'd very much doubt Rooney will play, Berb maybe with the likelihood he won't be starting in Marseille.

Yeah, just changed it.

He might, of course, rest Berbs too and start with Obers through the middle.
