Compared to our cheapest tickets £56 adult and £20 kids for the Basel game id say City are spot on. Just over £20 to take your kid to the match is brilliant.

Making football affordable for families makes them a joke of a club? I wish we did it.

United couldn't even manage that for Burton. £29 and £10

Looks like pure has badly misread the mood of the forum on this one.

Expect a follow up post railing against the 'experts' on the forum for disagreeing with the topred narrative.

Not mithered it's an open forum. I know why they do it city that is desperate @#%&!s with the manager begging fans to turn up tonite. Then when they get to qtrs semis etc the price is quadrupled and they moan like £#%&!. Absolute joke of a club

Would rather United did similar for games like Burton, just to fill the place. Cheap first taste for the next generation too; as it is, there's a danger of them £#%&!ing of to city.

Well, quite. A nice loss leader for the bottomless pockets of these Abu Dhabi @#%&!s. They could feasibly lower the ticket prices week in week out and it would do them a huge good for future fanbase.

Pretty sure it was nowhere near that much. My ticket is £37 for a start.

My ticket for the cl was £35. Burton should have been £15 for adults and £5 for kids - get the next gen of fans in.

The joke here isn't the prices they charge, its the fact it will still be empty despite the prices they charge.

Even at 20 and 10 i'd have probably taken my lad. As it was was hanging on for two for a tenner and only got one, so didnt bother. Ridiculous when they sent about 18 emails out on the Monday saying they were on general sale. Knew they wouldn't fill it but weren't willing to reduce for a game against a shit championship side

City are obviously pricing them low because demand is low. Unforunately United seemed to have stopped doing that. We've done it post Glazer takeover but it seems to have stopped in the last couple of years.

In English competitions the opposing club have to agree to the price cut. Most don't because they're also greedy and know that 60k at £50 is better than 75k at £20. They don't care if the stadium is full or not.

United do give a £#%&! load of tickets away for shit matches like Burton. They do it through schools and local sports clubs. If you're affiliated with either you can just call them up, state your credentials and they'll print as many as you want near enough.

The £56 adult tickets were the only ones left 2 days before the game, I was going to take my 2 lads as we haven't been this year, but £100 before you start is just not affordable.

correct... doesn't really work if you just take the most expensive example

Our ticket prices are generally ok? Obviously the cheaper the better. There's absolutely nothing wrong with cheaper tickets, but it's not like they're doing it for altruistic reasons and should be applauded . They're not trying to bring football to the masses, they're trying to get bums on seats because it looks £#%&!ing embarassing when you're playing Barcelona and can't fill the stadium.
