Modern footballer - two footed and can run and tackle all day - top lad. Shaw can £#%&! right off

Great attitude, great finish.

Enjoying seeing a few lads in the team that genuinely give a toss

Has already equalled Shaw's career scoring record.

Felt for him today, there was absolutely no midfield infront of him so he was up against it all day.

Correct.

Despite this, he constantly showed for the ball and never went hiding.

Looked better in the second half. Looked like he had no idea how to play in a back five. Was probably too occupied second guessing Jones.

Him, Garner and Greenwood should start the next game.

Some knackers on the lad, literally. I’d have been off work for two days if the ball had hit me that hard in the balls.

Yep. Superb. To score that goal and to have the confidence to do it etc after the 50 odd minutes he had prior to that tells you everything you need to know.

Was completely exposed and isolated today but still came out of it with huge credit. He has just turned 19 He will be a top level player. 100%.

He's been superb for us. Just didn't have his best game yesterday (goal aside) but no one did. Not a slur on him by any means.

Don't think it was his fault that he had a bad game (in a team full of players who had bad games).

IMO if he had Rojo behind him he would have had a much better game, instead he had Jones. Imagine having to have confidence in whats behind you when whats behind you is Phil Jones

Also lacked any real supply from Jones and Fred, and every time he overlapped whoever was playing in the LW position at the time just stood there like a dick instead of trying to move inside and drag the opposition back line around.

Took his goal really well
