We did. In fact I clearly remember everyone laughing at the van Dijk debacle. Now look at them.

Reminds me of a Bob Monkhouse gag.

However I doubt Ighalo will turn out to be our van Dijk.

You may be right. Obviously, as a United supporter, I hope you’re wrong. We all should tbh.

Haven’t you heard? Jaap Stam - failed Reading manager - was supressing a smirk apparently. Not a good sign.

Btec Ince.

They did.

They signed Origi, a left back from Hull and did a bow in front of the Kop after a 2-2 draw with West Brom.

You gotta start building somewhere.

We need a striker. Short term. Cheap. We've done it. There's not much more to read into than that.

And we just spent £70m on a midfielder.

This is the right idea tbh.

Don’t really know how anyone can knock it in the circumstance.

Would you rather have Martial from now until May?

It’s nonsense mate. Paying him two-thirds of Lingard’s wages with a very modest loan fee and an option if he exceeds expectations.

An utter, utter no brainer.

Exactly.

Most us thought we wouldn't sign anyone.

As recently as last week, we looked like we'd £#%&!ed the Fernandes deal and weren't getting a striker.

Since then, we've signed a top class midfielder, got a back up striker with premier league experience and we won at City

Good week tbf.

So we should be grateful for anyone whatsoever irrespective of whether they are any good or we have given more than 5 minutes of consideration to signing them? Veuve Clicquot do?

No options, needed a striker. January a risk to go for a player whose never played in the premier league.

Seems a no risk deal if shes shit so be it. If he scores between 5-10 well worth it. He then £#%&!s off in the summer and we sign Josh king

Ighalo 11
