Let's not get too revisionist here shall we folks.

Sir Bob wasn't against Jose because he magically foresaw that two years in we would be getting shite results with even worse football. It was because, lets not forget, he "wasn't a gentleman".

And he was completely onside with Fergal's great delusion that Gollum was somehow the right man.

This.

I don't thin Jose has changed, but football in the premier league has and it's passed him by.

I always said he should replace fergie because he's one of few managers that would not be phased by taking over from such a colossus. We really needed a manager to win the league quickly after fergie to show that the success was down to the club, not the manager (although we all know different of course ).
