Before Karanka was given the tin-tac it had 0-0 written all over it. As poor as they are going forward they are pretty solid at the back.

I expect United to now win on Sunday as they won't be as negative as they were under Karanka and will leave spaces at the back.

Didn't he quit for a few days before because of a bust up with the players?

Earlier this season or last seasons

This time last season. His team were cruising the Championship until a mini blip of about four games which saw Downing lead a training ground revolt. Karanka quit but the chairman begged him to stay.

Boro have a weird mix of nothing Championship players and big ego has-been's. Mind you that was the case twenty years ago

Still crazy how this team got relegated...

I know they were deducted points, but they still shouldn't have been anywhere near the drop. Two cup finals as well.

No chance pal, this is bad timing for us.

1-1 and another very frustrating afternoon.

Yeah, that's an all-star side.

Couldn't name seven of them.

Not the most representative pic tbf, but best I could find.

Good squad.

If we're being honest, mate, that squad is a pile of shit isn't it? Branco obsese by that point and Emerson was barely arsed.

Ravanelli and Juninho should have been enough to keep them in the '90s Premier League mind, granted.

Good squad.

Who's in nets then? It isn't Schwarzer or Walsh.

Yet United couldn't beat them in 2 attempts that season. Drew 2-2 and 3-3.

Or we'll fire a few shots at comfortable heights I'd expect most PL keepers to deal with and then claim he was brilliant because he made five of them.

Bingo. The only goalkeeper i think that has had a genuine blinder against us this season is the Burnley goalkeeper. All the others have made saves you'd expect them to.

Stoke home too but agree our shots on target/unlucky angle is overplayed, it doesn't take Dino Zoff to keep a clean sheet against us.

I imagine they'll wait until after the game to announce Giggs as manager.
