Still needs to do far more.

we were excellent in that opening period and he was a big part of that, barely wasting any ball and swatting chelsea players off...

personally think that formation could be the answer for us and especially if we had a fully fit mhikitaryan playing off a striker as the 2...

Agreed. Not sure why the pogba bashing should include revisionism. As a team performance we were generally excellent prior to #@&%! getting sent. Set up superbly and seemed to be executing the gameplan effectively.

Must of been when he won 27% of his battles or the two tackles...

We did start very well...11 v 11 would of been a different games..

Doesn't hide from the fact though he was very poor, again...

Held the ball well and did as much as everyone else. Protected the defence but what did the whole team do? It's like saying what did Rashford do, or Fellaini, or Herrera. We matched them until the card, then it was a mare.

Btw, it was 0-0 until the 51st minute. Herrera got sent off in the 34th.

Can't be arsed with anymore arguing over Pogba. It won't make any difference.

yep, and tbh i'm happy to defend the squealing little shit as well - thought he got wired in for once last night and don't think either of the yellows was warranted.

It was a little odd, Jones at times played defensive midfield, did a man marking job, and then dropped into a standard CB position. There was even a point mid -way through the first half when Rojo was man marking Hazard, and followed him around midfield for 2/3 minutes. Get the right type of player in the back line, high level ball playing ability, and it could be a tactical nightmare for the opposition, highly flexible.

LVG flirted with it for the first month, a difficult system to find the right players for.

Only used the 35/34 minute mark as his felchers were using this as a bench mark for when things went south for the lad...

You don't expect more from him in games last night than winning two tackles in 51 minutes ?

A weak shot in the dying minutes ?

A failure to close down or retain possession ?

His faults were his own doing..they have been all season.

His Birthday today...

Reading the comments on social media, I feel like I could earn a living as a pundit with my knowledge... And we all know how bad that is

"Waste of space"
"Waste of money"
"Worst player in the history of the game"
"Need to get rid next week"
"Worst player ever to pull on a United jersey"

As much as I, and the rest of the forum, are frustrated with his performances this season, why do these idiots even watch football? Why even allow them to have an opinion on the £#%&!ing game?

very much so. united needs to be built around huge personalities in midfield, proper athletes able to play box to box who can also play. it's old fashioned, but that doesn't make it bad. from that base we can be far more expansive down the sides and free up the strikers more to do their job. the role has changed along with the rules on tackling, but as has been shown in england by kante just one of these types can turn a decent team into a title challenger, and as we know two of them together makes us almost unstoppable.
