Couldn't care less.
Another 'nothing' International tournament

World Cups/Euros were a £#%&!ing delight up until about 12 years or so ago.

That probably has more to do with you than the football. We all remember things from our younger years as being a bit rosier than they really were. It always amazes me when 30somethings speak glowingly of Italia 90. It was absolutely terrible.

I am a miserable sod, guilty as charged.
But I agree with SAF when it comes to this current generation of players.

Of course that's true up to a point, but I don't think many Football lovers will look back on the EURO's of 2012 (not to mention the Champions League too ffs:shakehead: ) & consider it a vintage year.

True. Shame, because the group stage was really good, too, but it has nosedived since then. And of course, South Africa 2010 was an abomination of a tournament.

True that. I loved it, but then I was 13. Now I look back I can't really work out which bits I enjoyed so much.

Although I do remember me and my brothers going mental at Stuart Pearce's last-minute winner against the Netherlands and running into the garden to celebrate, only to come back in to find the goal had been disallowed.
