His contract is up in two years. So the story is that Madrid have basically convinced him that he'll be at the Bernabeu in 2016 at the latest. Then spend the meantime trying to talk Chelsea into letting him go earlier, or at worst going on loan again.

Risky or not, they're doing it. Gladbach have already signed Ter Stegen's replacement. Ter Stegen is going to Barca. Presumably he'll do well and be their number one for years. He's younger than Dave.

We won't have to sell Dave even if Barca come for him. It's not like they'll offer 80 million. If we dig our heels in as we did with Rooney, he'll go nowhere.

He openly campaigned for first Thiago and then (successfully) Mata to join him in Manchester. Doesn't sound like an unsettled player.

It seems like we have real things to worry about without fretting over hypotheticals.

Begging other spaniards to join seems like he needs the company, Mata has a family anyway. We want Fabregas...they might want dave.

I'm going to repeat Grimson's 'Barca have signed Ter Stegen' one more time for him

They have but who knows if he's good enough. They'll also be replacing puyol, meaning they might not want to throw someone inexperienced in the sticks when it comes to champions league. A competition we won't be in, just saying.

But they're not going to sign Ter Stegen and De Gea in the same summer. And signing the former suggests De Gea isn't in their plans.

Their back up in net Pinto is 38, doesn't seem too mad to sign 2 goalkeepers.

They're not going to sign two first-team goalkeepers. Nobody does that and Dave, for sure, would not go there under those circumstances. Ter Stegen is good enough nqat. They'll have done their homework. Pinto could easily play 3 or 4 more years. He only plays Copa del Rey games.

You seem strangely desperate for Dave to go to Barca.

not at all. I just think there's a chance he'd leave us eventually and that he's probably replaceable anyway.

We're attempting the Most Punts fromt he Halfway Line world record on Saturday at Witton. Who holds the current record? Iker Casillas. This could send him over the edge.

Said it before. The lad ain't built for the sun. That beard will go full on stomach churning Switcher Ginge if he goes back to Spain. Plenty of other Spaniards have settled over here and I doubt he would go to Madrid anyway. £#%&!ing hates Catalans and her reckons ETA are worse than FC. If anyone has got a decent looking child, preferably over the age of 16 and without a child, tart her up and offer her to Dave you selfish £#%&!ing @#%&!s.
