It is tbh, by £#%&!ing miles. Even in defeat.

Plus there is the actual prospect of it improving, which hasn’t existed for the previous 3 years..

Same result but only one team did it playing football

Yup.

People obviously havent learnt from the last 6 years if they want to pin the blame on the last manager. Whatever helps them sleep at night tho...

We may have had the same result against Juve but Ajax actually outclassed then and deserved to win.
I didn’t watch the game so can’t comment on how they played tbf.

I agree with saffers that the way our club is run is a bigger problem than who sits in the dugout and picks the team.

Not if Ole has his hands tied by the people running the club.

Never mind Juventus, we beat Ajax a couple of years ago.

What have they done since that we haven't, is what we should be asking.

Produced some world class home grown footballers.

Something we haven't managed in 25 years.

Obviously it helps when your club is a proper football club not a glorified marketing company with a banker at the helm.

He’s not manager anymore. Ole is and the continued mismanagement of the club will most probably continue.

Our problems are bigger than who the manager is or isn’t.

Yep.

We’ve got some talented kids coming through.

Would our manager be allowed to sacrifice ‘winning’ for a couple of seasons while we get these kids up to speed and into the first team while also using our scouting system to get young up and comers instead of ‘marketable’ signings?

No chance.

Ajax have spent the square root of £#%&! all. It’s not all about how much £#%&!ing money you can spend.

Where did I say anything about spending?

If Woodward doesn’t sanction Ole’s signings because he’d prefer a marquee player or he isn’t allowed to sell players that aren’t performing/surplus or gives contracts to players not good enough then his hands will be tied.

We pressed quite a bit throughout but if they broke the press then we dropped off

Hoping Ole goes with this approach from pre-season onwards however we have to sign players to play that style and Ole needs drill it into the side
