Would be better off bringing back Cheech if that's the kind of player required.

Mourinho rates him too

They needn't have. All the draws after xmas didn't £#%&!ing help though.

They left us chasing. They left us needing to win 6 games in a row just to make it interesting. It was always unlikely, with all the flaws in the squad, that we would be consistent enough once the EL returned.

We got closer than I thought we would, but we were always you against it. Chasing is £#%&!ing shit. As Spurs will testify. 7 wins in a row.....one mistake and the title was gone a week later

Jermaine Defoe... £#%&!ing hell. We aspire to win the title and get deep into the champions league and that old @#%&! is being mooted.

Not going to happen over night pal, baby steps etc

Could have been useful off the bench this season in the drawn games?

Scored fewer league goals, in a better side, in a weaker league...

Would prefer Defoe tbh.

I'd have Defoe for a year. His eye for goal is brilliant even in a dogshit team.

His goal scoring record is slightly overestimated to be honest, his records not much better than Darren Bent's

Hardly playing for top clubs though was he. West Ham, Spurs and Portsmouth ffs.

He was never quite good enough for us, certainly isn't now. We need to get out of this habit of signing ancient forwards anyway.

Nobody is saying he should start every game but imagine having a player like him to play in the cups or bring on in the last 10 mins chasing a game. A total goal poacher.

Scored that amount of goals playing for utter dross like like Sunderland, Portsmouth and West Ham ffs.

Low risk, Larsson, Owen, Zlatan type signing.

It depends if we're going for anyone else too. If Rashford is given the nod as the main striker, then he'd be a good option. If we're bringing in a younger striker, I don't see much point to it.

The bloke is about 17 goals away from Thierry Henry ffs. Every other player on that list has played for top clubs who won things, probably created a ton of chances etc.

Defoe's stats are crazy tbh.

Goal shy United can't make room for Defoe Even if he's just a squad player...

he'd run here ffs.
