why would he want to stay?

He never plays and he's free so will get the deal he wants at somewhere he'll play.

Bit more going on than the usual footballer podcast

Always comes across as a decent sort does our Juan

Juan Mata: Man Utd midfielder on Common Goal, his love of poetry and football's essence

good read. incredibly likeable guy and acts and speaks more like a musician or an artist than a modern day footballer.

That's his best position. He's not a winger, too slow. Not a striker, not got the instinct. Not a CM, not got the build for it (Needed in the prem)

No.10 role is perfect for his skill. Allows his creativity, vision, passing ability, template etc, to shine. He can control games from this position with ease at times.

Only good thing to come from Moyes

He's pure, unadulterated dross wherever you put him.

The best thing we can do in the summer is get rid of him. Just his exit will make us more competitive by ensuring he's not on the pitch to destroy our flank and expose our right back.

Not dross but there has to be an improvement in the squad and a new contract doesn’t do that . Let him leave .

Off to Barca.

Herrera PSG, Mata Barca, De Gea and Pogba likely to Madrid.

Ugly summer incoming.

At least we got new deals for Jones, Young and Smalling hey.

By the 11th min he'd £#%&!ed up 4 passes that would have got us in a great attacking position.

He looks like a competition winner.

Any contract that's on the table, needs to quickly be set on fire.

Yup. At least he *has* been good, which is more than can be said for some of our highly paid "stars".

Won a european cup, a world cup and a Euros. Not to mention scoring United's greatest ever goal at Anfield.

He's achieved more in his career than over rated insta-@#%&!s like Lingard and Rashford ever will.

Just another technical featherweight midget who wouldn't have cut it in the physical football era pre 2010

Not sure we can afford to be shedding attacking options atm.

Leaves on a free this summer or next imo.

Played a full game 6 times this season. If you're dumping Lukaku, Sanchez and Lingard, makes sense to keep him around. Sadly, we aren't.
