Gary Neville is improving all the time on Sky. It makes a change for a pundit to be more forthright, and not peddle banalities.

Looking at the Crouch goal, a combination of clever blocking off and Jones losing a little concentration.

His voice holds him back a bit

That bit about deflected goals being preventable was interesting. He's good to watch, I imagine he'll be very good in a few years, providing he doesn't go down the oft traveled road of the pundit...

Showing Ramires defending well, and in the same clip you could see Terry going for the heroic block that Neville was castigating about 5 yards away

Very odd to see JOS and Brown playing for Sunderland.

JT is the one that started that heroic defending shit.

Brown has started well.

Brown needs to play games to get his form up. He is not a player who can play once a month and look sharp which had been the case at Utd for the last few years.

I was a little surprised that we let go of O'Shea, always played a lot of games, but Jones, Smalling and the twins needed the games. 2 good signings for Sunderland.

4 ex Utd tonight, Richardson, Brown, O'Shea and David Fox.

They got shut of him because they didn't think he could cut it in the PL didn't they?

Good to see him get his chance anyway. Always liked him when he was at United, was never going to make it at United, but like David Jones, always fancied him to have a decent career.

Chris Eagles back in the PL as well, add the likes of Cathcart and Shawcross and it shows that even when not getting players into their own first team the Utd youth set up still produces a lot of good players.

The youth and Reserve teams in the middle of the last decade was often considered a poor vintage but look how many of them are now established pros.

True. Even the likes of Danny Webber & Ebanks-Blake have done alright, Jimmy Davis probably would've too The reserves were shite to watch back then though, very rarely even scored.

Well worked goal that.

I was thinking about that Cani(?) they had there the season before last, highly rated young French midfielder, he £#%&!ed them off in similar fashion to Gyan after 1 season must be something in the water up there.
