In fairness if Wan-Bissaka is worth 50 mill then Maguire probably is worth at least 70 mill given he's a first choice England CB with much more experience than Wan-Bissaka

There's just not many world class centre backs out there.
Yes, we'd all like van Dijk but we missed the boat. Koulibaly looks good but it would be a massive risk compared to Maguire. There's not many other names being touted because there's not many great defenders and most are already at big clubs. Maguire would improve us and that has got to be the focus. We can't go another year with the CBs we have. |

Watching the England games recently he was the solid defender and the one making mistakes was Stones who City dropped over £50m on a couple of seasons ago so I don't have a problem with the fee and he's a lot better than what we have.

Lot better than Smalling, Jones or Bailly, 26 years old, would be a good signing, not a great signing but still a massive upgrade. Would prefer Dias.
