As with most of our wins this season the performance wasn’t that good and we can’t control a game when leading to save our lives but this was a result above all else game

More injuries in defence is certainly not ideal
I think if Martinez and shaw don’t play we aren’t controlling a thing. We have seen it all season. No surprise when they came back we looked like a proper team.

From here on in , it’s going to be about results. Maybe malacia comes back because lindelof is shit in his best position, at LB it’s a disaster before a ball is kicked.

That was hugely satisfying

What a terrific header from The Scottish Player - he’s very useful coming off the bench.

Three big points!

Think dalot for the individual ply on his cross for the goal . Almost made it harder to not score when you put it on a plate for the attacker
Disrespectfully disagree. Saved loads of times - though nach was very poor and Rashford appalling.

Agree with Dalot and I thought Maguire was excellent. But Onana was very impressive.

Let’s hope Shaw is ok because the difference there was tangible.

We dug in really well there. Typically, we fold at 1-1 and they run in a couple more, but we kept the ball a lot better, slowed it when were under pressure and picked a few holes in them before the goal.

Still work to be done and the squad depth hurts us at times, but The Scottish Player is a good impact sub and there’s a bit of confidence building that only wins can bring.

Agreed. Garnacho had his head up his ass most of the game. Couldn’t stay onside. Failed to make the obvious pass.

Imagine if he just plays a little reverse pass to the left here.

That’ll be another blow to Villa’s confidence.

Plus, Kamera looks as if he’ll be out for a few matches - he’s very important to them.

We’ll catch them.

Only caught the tailend of the game, but fm Dalot put it in a couple of fantastic crosses, including the assist. Lovely jubbly. 3 points in the bag.

Have to say I relaxed a lot once Youri Tielemans came on. Great technically but no heart.

Ever since Villa started getting mentioned seriously as title candidates, they have fallen to bits. Superb.

It’s sweeter that £#%&!er Luis did a little shake of chest celebration right to onana aswell.

Our player would have got booked. Utter £#%&!er

Bailey was skinning lindelof too

Probably see dalot at LB and AWB at RB if shaw isn’t back. 2-3 out of the back 4 change positions everytime we play

I don’t want lindelof to start at LB he’s a liability

Think Onana was ok but didn’t like it when he killed any tempo we had. That being said we won so whatever he was doing worked.

He was one of our better players, brave when needed and swept up well in the first half.

The lack of attacking threat when we don’t have shaw and Martinez is telling. Even if it’s having a left footed player that opens up different angles going forward.

Shaw is a precaution so hopefully he’s back in the next game.

I am a big fan of the wingers passing, but that was a shooting opportunity and he hit a tame shot. nothing wrong with the choice, merely the execution. he could have had six goals today if he were a little quicker with his decision to shoot.

dalot made a couple of excellent tackles tracking back from the stupid position 10h makes him take up and his cross was sweet. sages wanted to see dalot doing more crossing. there was a couple of times in the first half where he didn't hit a quick cross, though. we should buy that lottery ticket a bit more often.

there's no taunting flag.

he definitely kicked out at varane when he cleared just before the goal. should have had it take away from him.
