I honestly thought this was a joke until I saw that you provided a reference...
Are they for real?

I don't actually understand why they would want to do that, just for an extra 5500 seats, anyone care to shed some light? :shakehead:

Corporates. Bringing in stag parties of stockbrokers from London and Berlin paying top wedge.

The stadium is looking pretty old tbh, and they are now basically owned by Qatar who will probably be paying for the stadium. :shakehead:

Can anyone read? They havem't made a decision yet so it's not gettign demolished yet. Even if it was then the economics could be quite simple. It is often cheaper and easier to start form scratch than to redevelop which could be a bit fiddly

We can all be romantic about it, but the Nou Camp is a bit of a shit hole.

It makes sense that they'd want to rebuild it. I'm surprised they're keeping the capacity so high. I can't think of another modern football stadium with a capacity over 100k.

If they build it, it'll be truly amazing and probably unparalleled.

Thanks for shedding some light, your motto is very fitting indeed Still a stupid idea though IMO, Nou Camp is a brilliant stadium!

Theres no end to how deep Qatar's pockets are so wouldn't be overly surprised, but Nou camp is a fine looking stadium and holds like 100,000! Madness to rebuild a new stadium entirely

If they don't bring in international help it will be a shoddy mess years behind any timeframe.

Hey?? It's a mess. I last went 10 years ago and it was in a state of decay then.

I went in 88 when Hughes was there and it was a shit hole then. Shows just how forward thinking United were when they started the stadium improvements 20 years ago.
