I find that extremely hard to believe.

When you're dealing with a club that has basically made it their raison d'être to fiddle the financial records, you have to be at least a bit suspicious.

Like i said, for a club that is widely acknowledged to have a bottomless pit of cash behind them, it's astounding how they seem to be able to get away with relatively (by today's standards) sensible transfer fees.
Maybe they offer most if not all the money up front, where as united offer loads of instalments and bonuses?

Not £#%&! all, they end up paying Phil Jones to make funny faces and be injured a lot.

Funny faces and general turning are underrated . We should add in a corner bonus and a heading the ball on the floor bonus.

I don't believe Jones is off unfortunately, but if he *is* it will make giving him a new deal appear even stupider. If that is actually possible.
