Said we needed a moment of magic to get the three points and by god did the kid step up

We looked £#%&!ed from about the 60th minute but should have been two or three up at half time. Winning when we’re not at our best is a nice change to playing shit and dropping points against these teams like the last few years.

That 2nd half would have been a very frustrating way to go into the World Cup but one moment from Garnacho changes everything

Got away with it as we completely lost control of the game in the 2nd half
Far too many direct balls instead of keeping hold of it and picking them apart calmly
Something we need to get much better at as we’re coming under too much pressure

The pass from Eriksen at the end wasn’t even that good but the acceleration from Garnacho was ridiculous and he took his shot so quickly it caught the keeper out

Nice to head into the World Cup off the back of a win
Agree on all fronts. The Fulham defender reacts terribly to the pass, but that’s not Garnacho’s fault. He wants it more and then the finish is just lovely. Made it look very easy.

Tbh the likes of lindelof , bailey, slab , AWB have been reacting terribly for the last 3-4 years. We are due some silly defending from the opposition , though fwiw garnacho I was just too quick

He makes it his. He could have assumed it would be gobbled up, but he doesn’t. He gives everything to get on the end of it. That’s what you need in the 93rd minute. A desire to win the game.

that 2 points could be gigantic at the end of the season.

So City lose at the end and Utd win.

Happy weekend!!!

Exactly that… desire and fight.

He’s direct too which is so good to see from such a young kid, he always backs himself.

I couldn't see that coming tbh. To be fair it took a player like Garnacho, with energy and pace to burn to make the best of what was another tired, inaccurate pass in a half littered with them. That was all about desire and attitude. True the finish was quality but it was his tenacity that made it something.

That entire 2nd half felt like a lethargic, half-hearted trudge towards a month break. So many of our players looked mentally and physically miles off it, particularly Fernandes, Rashford and the two midfielders. We got absolutely crucified down the flanks 2nd half and its only thanks to the gods that Mitrovic wasn't there to gobble up half those crosses Pereira was putting in.

In an ideal world we'd get two players in January just to make a push for top 4 and maybe a trophy but in reality we'll come back from the world cup, the owners will do absolutely £#%&! all and come Feb/March we'll be absolutely running on empty.

We need a back up right back and striker. The first choice 11 looks great - if it ever plays together

Tired, inaccurate pass? pretty sure he popped it through someone’s legs into the only available space for the lad to run on to.

I genuinely don't think it was meant for Garnacho tbh. If it were anyone else there the defenders just see it through to the keeper

Just enjoy the moment remember teams like Fulham who’s lost one game at home when having ten men for 87 mins v Newcastle are playing one game a week .. we’ve got 4 players injured and players only just
Coming back a new manager 4 months in and we’re 6 points away from the best team on the planet. Live for the moment lads

Sometimes a game is just memorable for a moment and we should enjoy it. Today is one of them. We know the problems. We know the ridiculous timing of the WC. After losing last week and with the injuries, Today was all about winning. And what a goal.

We’re a work in progress and we need to enjoy moments like this.

Fulham have lost two games in a row in injury time, that's got to hurt.

They were unlucky this week, but they played an hour against ten men last week and showed no desire to win the game.

Still an absolutely ridiculous penalty though.
