He was just shy of £40m wasn't he?? And that was 8 and a half ( ) years ago.

We still have to fork out the add-on when he wins the Ballon D'Or

Nice little appearance bonus for him. Good management.

Not sure an elephant will be picking up any frequency related to a bid

Best offer we may get could come from the Brazillian authoritites offering to lock him away for domestic abuse.

He wasn't shit last night. He looks like he could be a better right back than right winger.

He’ll be out of the door when Erik goes is my guess. He was ok last night - a few more of those performances and we’ll hopefully get £15-£20m back on him.

He wasn’t awful. Kept the ball moving at times but only about 3/10 were with attacking intent ie forward passes. Never looked likely to beat his man, attempted once and got blocked off. Most times held the ball up and passed back to Dalot or central mid.

Being positive - The flimsiest of foundations but I guess it’s Something to build on

He was fine.....defensively. Absolutely nothing from an attacking point of view.

Apart from hitting the bar
A slide pass through to mctom (rashford miss)
Slide ball Dalot (, mctom header)
Always looked to move the ball positively.

First half he was our best player by a mile...

Thought it was a harsh sub....

For me this is a stretch, and a very low bar at that. He was OK and hopefully a good platform for him to grow.

You could argue that he missed the target when he hit the bar, should have kept it down and we'd all probably be celebrating a goal.

If he can play a bit part role till the end of the season then great and we get a bit more money for him because from what I've seen he's not up to it. Its a shame because his effort supporting the full back is as good as I've seen, but that's not enough.

The bar for Antony is apparently lower than for anyone else. Celebrated for hitting the bar (otherwise knows as a miss) or a couple of good passes. FFs, he should be tearing defender a new one, but he simply can't do it.

Agree he wasn't bad last night but also wasn't that good wither. He's 50% of a good player (the half that can cut inside - and even that is predictable).

Seems like a nice kid. Enjoys his football. Wish he was the player we thought we'd bought but he isn't. If we are happy having a squad player putting in regular 7/10 performances then he could possibly be the guy.
