A lot of old photos you see where streets were empty and seemed a lot cleaner were actually down to the method used at the time. Obviously not talking about the image posted in particular, but a lot of photos taken back in the day, you essentially had to be completely still to register on the image. If you were in motion you’d become a faint blur. Apologies for going off on the tangent, I just found it interesting myself.
